As students, whether you are in science, the arts, or both, this association can do the most to change your future and you can do the most to implement that change. As a student member of the Society for Psychology in the Performing Arts, you will have opportunities for mentoring by the nation's top professionals in science and the arts. This membership gives you the tools to support your life's work so you can grow into your chosen profession--whether you are involved in performing arts psychology as a practitioner or a researcher, or your skills lie more in the direction of a psychologist / performer.

SPPA is committed to providing you with significant learning opportunities that make a difference in your education to help you shape the future you want. It is our primary goal to provide best practice and emerging scientific knowledge to performing arts psychology healthcare and science professionals, and resources to translate that knowledge for the prevention, diagnosis and treatment of psychological problems in the arts.
