The Society for Psychology in the Performing Arts provides professional education activities that focus on the latest in basic and clinical research. These activities offer educational opportunities, as well as the chance to network with colleagues. They are designed to reach a wide audience of psychologists and researchers including physicians, nurses. other allied health personnel as well as performers and instructors.

The Society for Psychology in the Performing Arts conducts professional education activities in support of its overall mission to improve the lives of all people affected by psychological issues in the Performing Arts. It is the Society's position that the quality of treatment and/or education received by the person in the arts is a product of the education and expertise of his or her health care team and/or educators.
